CBD Oil – production

Despite continuous progress, medicine still cannot deal in a traditional and conventional way with the treatment of many dangerous diseases. However, in situations where it proves to be completely powerless, unconventional medicine can in turn help, using innovative methods, unfortunately not yet fully acceptable in the patient’s treatment and convalescence process. This is due, among other things, to the preparations used in them, and one of them, unjustifiably controversial, is the CBD oil obtained from hemp seeds.

Hemp sowing – a versatile plant known since antiquity

These hemp sometimes induce this indignation and are confused with the Indian version, from which, in reality, you get a drug, hemp, but which, in reality, has absolutely nothing to do with it. Hemp sativa L. is a popular plant belonging to the hemp plant species commonly grown in many parts of the world, especially in Asia, and in our country we deal more often with its cultivar, i.e. hemp seeds.

The first information about its use by humans goes back to ancient times, where it was used, among others, in China, and in Poland it was already known by our ancient Slavic ancestors. They obtained oil mainly from them, although not CBD, but they were also an important addition to many dishes of the time. Henryk Sienkiewicz also mentioned hemp in “The Deluge”, where ZagÅ‚oba advised Hetman Czarnecki to take hemp to improve his memory by drinking it with strong Hungarian wine, so that oleum could reach the head faster.

Hemp seeds have a characteristic appearance that makes it easier to distinguish them from their illegal variety, which is banned not only in our country but also in virtually the entire EU. According to the regulations in force in this regard, the Act of 29 July 2005 in Poland it is possible to grow hemp for sowing, also known as fibre hemp, with a maximum of 0.20% THC, and until recently the condition for starting this cultivation was to conclude a contract with an entity that had the right to buy hemp in a particular province, but now it is no longer necessary. However, it is necessary to specify the purpose for which we are going to grow it.

Its appearance resembles a bush that reaches more than 2 m in height, with a branched stem, covered with spicy-smelling hairs. The Indian variety is much smaller and more branched, rarely reaching 1m in height. The differences can also be easily noticed in the leaves of both plants, in the sowing variety there are more of them, longer, up to 10 cm and thinner. The hemp seed variety is also almost completely devoid of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), a substance with psychoactive properties, prohibited by law in our country. The THC degradation process itself has a negative effect on other components, including cannabinoids.

The most important nutrients in fibrous hemp:

Omega – 3 and Omega – 6 unsaturated fatty acids, natural reinforcement for the heart and circulatory system;
dietary fiber that regulates the functioning of the digestive system and improves digestion;
one of the most easily assimilated protein varieties, tissue building blocks, including muscle tissue;
vitamins: A, B (B1, B2, B3, B6), D, E and K;
minerals: potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, sulphur, manganese, sodium, silicon, copper, boron, iodine, iron;
8 exogenous amino acids, which we need, but our body is not able to produce them by itself;
Canabidiol, an organic chemical compound, the main component of CBD oil.

CBD – what it really is and how to get it

The most medically valuable, and what we particularly stress, is the completely legal CBD, from which the oil is produced, is a chemical compound belonging to the cannabinoid group, which occurs naturally in chemp seeds. Its most important characteristic is the lack of any psychotic action and it has absolutely no property for which it can be considered a drug.
